Services
At Defy Medical Fitness, having a limited membership allows us to provide small group exercise sessions so that you can benefit from individual attention and the highest level of service from our staff.

At Defy we have developed the concept of FreeForm training, our small group sessions have a general theme but based on the needs and capabilities of the group the trainers will provide a custom tailored work out. Each session and sessions with different trainers will expose you to new exercises and challenges that will keep your routine from becoming routine.

Small Group Sessions

This class is for anyone who wants to develop muscular strength and endurance. We’ll tackle basic resistance training exercises using traditional, strategic principles. This workout challenges every major muscle using a variety of equipment.

Toning/Conditioning

Back to the basics, this class is recommended for those just starting an exercise routine or for those who are interested in general body toning shaping and conditioning. This is a great class for all ages and abilities.

Abs/Core

Sculpt your midsection as you improve your body’s overall functional strength, balance and coordination. This class focuses on strength, movement and balance challenges through use of the body’s core muscles found in the inner and outer abdominal wall, obliques and low back.

Strength/Cardio

A dynamic mix of cardio and strength training exercises meant to get the heart moving and muscles pumping, a great all in one class for those with limited time.

Balance/Flexibility

Dynamic movement, balance work and traditional stretches will increase your range of motion and mobility, improve your recovery time and reduce muscle stiffness and soreness. Remember flexibility is a necessary part of your healthy way of life routine!

Cardio

This class will get your heart pumping and burn calories. A great addition to any workout routine and should be done regularly 2-3 times a week for general cardiorespiratory fitness.

Urban Challenge

High energy, intense cardio/strength training (usually conducted in an outdoor environment) guaranteed to boost your energy and metabolism to new heights. Easy to follow and often unconventional exercises, plyometrics, running drills, ab work and push-ups.


Specialty Classes


Pilates

The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.

Yamuna Body Rolling
Yamuna Body Rolling™ is a revolutionary approach to health and fitness using balls designed exclusively for this practice. It consists of a series of routines using 6 to 10-inch balls. Unlike other ball exercises, YBR goes far beyond random movement and stretch. It allows you to work specific muscles in detail, to create suppleness in tight areas and optimize range of motion.

Yamuna Body Rolling™ reeducates muscles and stimulates bone, creating positive, permanent changes in the body.
